New Supercomputer Clusters 128 Athlons
The University of Delaware and AMD announced today that the two would collaborate with Delaware computer-cluster builder Racksaver to create a new supercomputer based on up to 128 Athlon processors. The machine, named Samson, ties the processors together in a massively parallel Beowulf cluster that operates on a Linux kernel.
